DC Reasi redresses public grievances; inspects schools, road construction works in Katra Town

REASI, OCTOBER 23: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Mahajan today led the weekly Block Diwas event in Katra and inspected civic amenities and development works across the holy township.
Accompanied by a team of officers, the DC visited several schools in the town including Govt. Middle school Sherpur and Moori and Govt girls school Katra and assessed the provision of educational infrastructure and civic amenities. He interacted with students and teachers and inquired about the requirements for fostering educational facilities.
Later at the public outreach event, the DC addressed key concerns raised by the local residents, including essential services like shortage of water, electricity. He also inspected progress of work on Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Express Highway project and discussed compensation issues related to it. He assured timely resolution of compensation grievances, promising that all due benefits would reach in time. He also visited the under construction Court complex in Katra and told authorities to expedite the work.
The DC reaffirmed the administration's commitment to resolving local concerns and ensuring smooth execution of developmental projects. His direct engagement with the public was appreciated by the community, who welcomed the swift administrative action to resolve long-standing issues.
