DDC Bandipora Reviews Progress under District CAPEX, Emphasises Strict Adherence to Timelines and Quality Standards


 Bandipora, October 23 (RNA) : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora convened a meeting on Wednesday at the Mini Secretariat, Bandipora, to review the progress under the District Capex Budget 2024-25.

 
The DDC reviewed the physical and financial status of various schemes related to different departments.
 
Chief Planning Officer Mohammad Maqbool informed the meeting that under the District CAPEX, 16 sectors, including DDC and BDC grants, have been covered.
 
It was revealed that a total of 2,295 works are under execution, including 1,377 new works and 918 ongoing works, amounting to Rs. 6,800.64 lakhs.
 
For the year 2024-25, administrative approval has been accorded to 1,288 out of the 1,377 approved works, while estimates for 89 works are still pending.
 
The District Development Commissioner urged the concerned departments to prioritize the submission of the pending estimates.
 
He directed the executing agencies to complete the ongoing works within the stipulated timeframe, ensuring that there are no spillover works for the next year. He also stressed the need to expedite the process for new works.
 
The DDC, M. A. Qadri, emphasized the importance of maintaining strict adherence to timelines and quality standards. He called for enhanced coordination among departments to ensure the timely completion of various schemes.
 
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Mohammad Ashraf Bhatt, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Irfan Bahadur, Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Mohammad Maqbool, Chief Education Officer (CEO), Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Executive Engineers, and other concerned officials.
