DC flags off mobile vans under “Poshan on Wheels” in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 21: A program under Poshan Abhiyaan, was organized Today at the office complex of District Programme Officer Poshan, Udhampur.
At the event, two mobile vans under the theme “Poshan on Wheels" were flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai in presence of PO Poshan Subash Dogra for generating awareness about the various schemes of Poshan.
While briefing the media, the DC informed that the mobile vans would traverse across the district, covering all Panchayats as per a set schedule. The objective is to create widespread awareness and mobilize a Jan Andolan regarding the various schemes implemented by the Poshan Department.
In her address, the DC emphasized the department's interventions aimed at reducing malnourishment among children, as well as pregnant and lactating women. She highlighted the importance of regular growth monitoring and tracking other vital health parameters of the beneficiaries at Anganwadi Centers using the Poshan Tracker application.
The program also featured engaging awareness activities such as songs and skits performed by Sanginis to further spread awareness among the attendees.
