Great Son of the Soil, Renowned Bureaucrat and Civil Society Leader Mohd Shafi Pandit is No More

Srinagar, Sep 19: In a condolence press statement, Chairman of the Jammu & Kashmir Civil Society Forum and President of the Pensioners United Front, Abdul Qayoom Wani, expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Mohd Shafi Pandit, the first IAS officer of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. Wani said that he was a great administrator and contributed to society in various capacities as a bureaucrat, civil society leader, and a true son of the soil.
Wani added that his death is a great loss to the entire society, and his contributions will be remembered forever. Wani prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family to bear this loss. All the leaders of JKCSF and JKLPUF expressed their sympathy and solidarity with the entire bereaved family and prayed for Jannat ul Firdous for the departed soul.
