Book titled ‘Development of Science through Ages’ by Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Aslam Baba released at SP College


 SRINAGAR, JULY 27: A book on multidisciplinary science authored by Prof (Dr.) Mohammad Aslam Baba, former Principal & Dean Engineering & Technology, Cluster University Srinagar was launched today at S.P. College Srinagar.

 
The Book was released by the Prof Mushtaq Ahmad Siddiqi Former Vice Chancellor IUST along with other dignitaries Prof. Syed Ghulam Sarwar Former Principal and Academician, Prof Mohamad Afzal Zargar Registrar Central University of Kashmir, Prof. Nasir Iqbal Registrar University of Kashmir and Prof. Ghulam Jeelani Qureshi Principal S. P. College, Srinagar.
 
In his speech, Prof Mushtaq deliberated upon the importance of creating awareness among the students to attract them towards the field of science. He appreciated the work of the author for compiling this book in a comprehensive manner.
 
In this academic event eminent administrators and academicians from the universities and colleges were present on the occasion.
 
Among other speakers Prof. Syed Ghulam Sarwar, Prof Mohammad Afzal Zargar, Prof. Nasir Iqbal Prof. Ghulam Jeelani Qureshi and Prof. Basharat Ahmad Want shared their opinion on the book. Dr. Qadusia Gani presented a brief review of the book.
 
The book, ‘Development of Science Through Ages’ is divided into two main sections. Section-I deals with, ‘Emergence of Science’ that includes a historical perspective of the developments, contributors and their contributions to science and technology in different epochs, civilizations and communities of the world.
 
A glimpse of Nobel Prize winners in Physics, Chemistry and Medicine, followed by the chronology of major scientific events is presented in this section.
