NAAM FOUNDATION & INDIAN ARMY INITIATIVE TOWARDS EDUCATION AND SELF-EMPLOYMENT IN BONIYAR


 Srinagar, July 3 (RNA): In a philanthropic partnership, Indian Army and NAAM Foundation are making a significant impact for the youth of Boniyar through infrastructure development and distributing essential items to students of various schools and Chinar Nau Jawan Club, Boniyar.

 
Gaggar Hill Primary School, nestled in the far-flung area near Line of Control has undergone a transformative renovation aimed to enhance educational facilities and secure learning environment to the students. This initiative, conceived by Indian Army & funded by NAAM Foundation aims at empowering the students and their families in remote villages of Gaggar Hill, Chotali and Kurali by providing essential items like uniform, school bags and stationery.
 
Similarly, in facilitating self-employment, sewing machines, embroidery machines and other tailoring related materials have been distributed by NAAM Foundation to sewing centres of Salasan and Boniyar . It is an endeavour to promote women empowerment and sense of pride among the local women.
 
Furthermore, to support the positive youth engagement, skill development and women empowerment, NAAM Foundation has distributed range of essential items related to Hospitality, Bakery, IT and Tailoring classes to Chinar Nau Jawan Club, Boniyar. Chinar Nau Jawan Club, Boniyar is a Vocational trg centre where youths from in and around Boniyar learns practical skills in various fields which ultimately enhances their employability potential. 
 
The inauguration and distribution ceremony was carried by Brigadier PMS Dhillon, Commander Pir Panjal Brigade in the presence of NAAM Foundation CEO, Mr Ganesh Thorat. The event was organised by Torna Battalion under the aegis of Pir Panjal Brigade, Dagger Division. This initiative reflects the Indian Army’s commitment to community development and nation-building beyond their primary role of ensuring national security
