Srinagar, Oct 23 (RNA) : Following a devastating fire that destroyed nearly 85 houses and a mosque in the remote Mulwarwan area of Kishtwar district, President of the Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK), G.N. Var, has made an urgent appeal to private school owners to provide immediate support to the affected families. With the harsh winter season rapidly approaching, Mr. Var stressed the importance of swift action to help victims rebuild their homes and restore their lives with dignity.
“This is a critical time, with winter approaching fast. These families have lost everything, and they need our help to rebuild their homes and ensure they can live in warmth and safety,” Mr. Var said. “I appeal to all private schools and school owners to contribute generously. By coming together under our Community Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, we can help these families rebuild their homes and regain their dignity before the severe winter sets in.”
The fire, which engulfed 85 homes and the Jamia Masjid, has left many families without shelter, making immediate action essential. The remote location of Mulwarwan village has posed challenges for relief efforts, although the district administration has begun providing basic supplies. However, much more is needed to assist these families in rebuilding and recovering from this disaster.
Mr. Var called on school owners to lead the charge in providing meaningful support. “It’s not just about offering immediate relief but about enabling these families to rebuild their lives with dignity. Through our collective efforts, we can help them construct new homes and face the winter with honor.”
The PSAJK will ensure that contributions from private school owners, particularly through CSR, reach the affected families swiftly and are used effectively to help them rebuild and regain stability.
