Training for counting staff held at Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, OCTOBER 03: In preparation for the upcoming counting of votes casted in General Election to Legislative Assembly -2024, the training was conducted today at district Kishtwar for Counting Supervisors, Micro Observers, Counting Assistants, and allied staff tasked with assisting the Returning Officer of all the three Assembly Constituencies.
The training session took place in the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex Kishtwar in the presence of District Election Officer (DEO) Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan.
The main focus of the training was to equip personnel with the necessary knowledge and skills required for the accurate and efficient counting of votes.
In his address to the trainees, DEO emphasized the crucial roles and responsibilities they would undertake during the counting process. The actual counting of EVMs is scheduled to take place at the Kendriya Vidyalaya Kishtwar on October 8, 2024, utilizing three dedicated Counting Halls, he informed.
He informed that a total of 42 counting tables will be set up, with each hall accommodating 14 tables for each Assembly Constituency besides one additional room is dedicated for counting of Postal ballots, each manned by a team consisting of a Counting Supervisor, Micro Observer, Counting Assistant, and Counting Staff.
The ROs, AC 49-Kishtwar Pawan Kotwal,48-Inderwal Idrees Lone ,50-Paddar Nagseni Dr. Amit Kumar, Election NT Angrez Singh, Nodal Officer Training Riyaz Ahmed Butt besides other concerned were present.
