15 days summer theatre workshop with school children concluded today at NSD TIE Centre, Srinagar

SRINAGAR 23rd JULY (RNA):15 days Summer Theatre Workshop with school children organised by National School of Drama, TIE Centre, Srinagar in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages was concluded on 22nd July 2024.Pertinently the culmination cum parent session of Summer theatre workshop was held at NSD. TIE Centre, Cultural Academy Campus, Lalmandi, Srinagar on 21st July 2024.
The Summer workshop was designed for two age groups: 8-12 and 12-16 years. The workshop aimed to explore the different area of self-proficiency of the child participants such as psychological development, physical development and life skills as well.
The culmination initiated with the floral welcome of the Chief Guest, Shri. Suresh Kumar Gupta (IFS) Principal Secretary to Government, Cultural Department, J&K.
The parents of all the participants were also invited to participate and experience the enriching learnings of their wards during this Summer theatre workshop.
The guests immensely enjoyed the thrilling stage presentation and congratulated the students on the spectacular show. They were awestruck by the presentation and appreciated the efforts of the NSD faculties and facilitators in making the summer holidays so rewarding.
Acclaimed theatre personality and workshop In-charge, Mr. Abdul LatifKhatana, while applauding the presentation of the students said that on the elementary level we let the children make presentation on an informal way and give them open space to enter into the character to vent their self-proficient abilities.
The ceremony was hosted and anchored by Coordinator, NSD.TIE.Centre Srinagar Mr. GulzarGanaie. Faculty members from outside UT including Mr. Rajneesh Bisht, Ms. PriyankaBharti (Muskaan), Ms. SunitaRaina, and Mr. Manish Pinto were assisted by local facilitators Hassan Javaid, Khursheed Ahmad Mir, ShahnawazBhat, Tahir Ahmad Najar, Abdul Basit Ratherand Barkat Alialongwith with Assistant Coordinator Junaid Ahmad Rather. Dy. Secretary J&K Academy of Art Culture & Languages Mr. Shakeel- Ur- Rehman was also present on the occasion.
Chief Guest Shri. Suresh Kumar Gupta complimented the students on their magnificent presentation, praised their efforts and extended his gratitude towards the parents and appreciated the enthusiastic team members.
Mr. Dipankar Paul, Centre Director (I/C) NSD TIE Centre, Srinagar extended the vote of thanks to all and concluded the culmination cum parent session on 21st July 2024.
