‘Beginning of democratic era’: AIP commemorates Martyrs of 1931

Srinagar, July 13, 2024 (RNA) : Jammu and Kashmir Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) on Sunday paid tributes to the martyrs of the 1931 struggle against the Dogra rule.
Party spokesperson Firdous Baba emphasised the historical importance of today, commemorating the sacrifices made by the people on July 13, 1931. Their lives were dedicated to securing democratic rights for the people.
“Their brave actions led to the liberation of Jammu and Kashmir, establishing a foundation for democracy in the region. Today symbolises the beginning of a new democratic era in our history,” Baba said.
He added that the sacrifices continue to serve as a source of inspiration for the people of Jammu and Kashmir to steadfastly support democracy and uphold the democratic rights of all individuals.
