Health Talk on Endocrine Disruptors organized at IUST

Awantipora, Sept. 26 (RNA): The Medical Centre at IUST hosted a Health Talk on Endocrine
Disruptions in collaboration with Paras Hospital Srinagar. The event was aimed to inform the
students about endocrine disruptors and promote health awareness.
Dr. Mahroosa, endocrinologist and senior consultant at Paras Hospital, Srinagar was the main
speaker of the program. She spoke about the endocrine disrupting chemicals and their potential
impact on human health. She encouraged students to adopt healthy lifestyle patterns as a means
to mitigate exposure to these disruptors.
The program was presided over by Prof. Mohammad Ayoub Qadri, Dean School of Health
Sciences, who commended the pivotal role played by the health centre in disseminating crucial
health awareness among students at IUST emphasizing the importance of informed and healthy
choices.
Dr. Zahida Rasool, Medical Officer Health Centre of IUST, affirmed the centre's commitment
to organizing similar events in the future.
